Timothy “StoneDancer” Coleman is a Grammy-nominated artist, educator, and community leader with over 25 years of experience utilizing storytelling, media, and music to empower individuals and amplify the voices of those who are underrepresented.

As Founder of The Coleman Global Initiative, LLC., and co-founder of Media By The People, he is known for building purpose-driven platforms that connect creativity, education, and social impact.

Timothy “StoneDancer” Coleman is a nationally respected creative leader, educator, and community innovator with over 25 years of experience at the intersection of media, education, storytelling, and social impact. A Grammy-nominated songwriter, performer, producer, and arts administrator, Timothy has built a career dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to find their voice, share their stories, and lead with purpose.

Timothy is the Founder and CEO of The Coleman Global Initiative, LLC and The People’s Media Center, and a co-founder of Media By The People, LLC, where he develops programs, platforms, and partnerships that amplify underrepresented voices through digital media, music, and storytelling. His work spans curriculum development, team leadership, community engagement, and large-scale program creation, with a consistent focus on youth development, family empowerment, and cultural expression.

He currently serves as a Director of Education at BronxNet Community Television, where he leads media education initiatives, supervises creative teams, and produces and hosts the award-winning television program The Bronx Edulution. Through his work with NYC Public Schools, nonprofit organizations, and community-based partners, Timothy has spearheaded initiatives such as the My Brother’s Keeper Challenge Grant, creating professional development pipelines and leadership opportunities for students and families across the South Bronx.

As an artist, Timothy’s performance career spans Broadway, international stages, television, and recording, blending music, theater, and spoken word into powerful narrative experiences. His songwriting and musical projects reflect a deep commitment to identity, healing, and social truth, earning him a Grammy nomination and recognition across multiple genres.

Timothy is also the creator and host of The Colors of Sound Podcast, a purpose-driven show exploring leadership, creativity, and the human experience, and co-host of I Love Wine and Dogs alongside Heidi Huebner, where storytelling, compassion, and community converge in conversation. His educational framework, The Art of Storytelling, has been implemented across schools and community programs to help participants unlock vision, build confidence, and communicate with authenticity.
